How to play roulette
- Choose a table and check the minimum and maximum bets.
- Pick a chip value and place chips on the betting layout.
- You can place several bets in one round; each is settled separately.
- The dealer (or RNG) spins the wheel and the ball lands in one pocket.
- Winning bets are paid according to the payout table; losing chips are collected.

Roulette wheel numbers and table layout
The numbers on the wheel are not in order. On a European wheel the sequence starting from zero is: 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, 25, 17, 34, 6, 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9, 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26. Red and black alternate, and high, low, odd and even numbers are spread as evenly as possible. The betting table layout is different: numbers 1–36 run in three columns of twelve, with zero at the top. French tables add call bets (Voisins du Zéro, Tiers du Cylindre, Orphelins) that cover neighbouring numbers on the wheel, not on the table.
European, French and American roulette
| Version | Zeros | House edge | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| European | 0 | 2.70% | the most common |
| French | 0 | 1.35% on even-money bets (La Partage) | best for even-money bets |
| American | 0 and 00 | 5.26% | the least favourable |
| Live roulette | depends on the table | depends on the version | real dealer, video stream |
| Multiplier roulette | depends on the game | listed in the rules | rare, large wins |
American roulette pays the same as European, but the extra double zero almost doubles the house edge. Choose single-zero tables whenever you can.
What happens when zero comes up
A bet on zero pays 35:1 like any number. When zero lands, all outside bets lose — unless the table uses the French La Partage rule (half of an even-money bet is returned) or En Prison (the bet stays "imprisoned" for the next spin).
Free roulette and simulators
Many RNG roulette tables at Mostbet have a demo mode — free roulette with virtual chips, ideal for learning bets and payouts. A roulette simulator in demo shows how quickly results vary, but demo winnings cannot be withdrawn. Note that searches like "roulette wheel spinner" or "roulette generator" often look for random-choice wheels, which have nothing to do with the casino game.
Live roulette
In live roulette a real dealer spins a physical wheel in a studio, streamed to your screen. You bet through an interface over the video and can chat with the dealer. There are European, French, speed and multiplier tables with limits for every budget. Live tables have no demo mode.
Roulette strategy: what works and what doesn't
| System | How it works | The problem |
|---|---|---|
| Martingale | double the bet after each loss | hits the table limit or your budget quickly |
| D'Alembert | raise by one unit after a loss | slower, but the house edge stays |
| Fibonacci | bets follow the Fibonacci sequence | losing streaks still lead to large bets |
| "Hot" and "cold" numbers | bet on numbers that hit often or rarely | the ball has no memory; each spin is independent |
No betting system removes the house edge. What actually helps: choosing single-zero tables, setting a budget in advance and stopping when you reach it.
Roulette at Mostbet
You find roulette in the Casino (RNG tables) and Live casino sections. To play for money you need an account; new players can use the promo code NEW3000. Table games usually count less toward bonus wagering than slots. Other table games: blackjack and baccarat.
